Credentialed Mental Health Nurse - ACMHN NDIS Worker Screening QLD WWC - NSW + QLD Aaron is a mental health nurse who began his career in 2005 in front line mental health services both within the hospital and in the community systems. For over 20 years he worked with people who live with chronic and enduring major mental illnesses and their family members (carers). During this time he has worked in multiple specialty service areas including: working with young people, people who live with mental health conditions, older persons mental health, mental health forensics for incarcerated youth. He then went on to provide counselling services to war veterans and their families at Open Arms. Aaron provided both individual counselling, family counselling, counselling youth and delivering education groups for both clients and professionals. Aaron currently provides counselling services at rehabilitation service where he works as a drug and alcohol counsellor and holds therapeutic groups. Aaron has a deep grounding in attachment theory and a keen interest in trauma as a specialty, using trauma informed care when working with people. Aaron is skilled in the following therapy methods: ACT, CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Family Constellations. Aaron is passionate about healing and growth having been on his own healing journey, he aims to assist people to live a meaningful life in alignment with their authentic self. Specialty areas:
